Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. Her early performances on Broadway include the musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. Her role on stage in You Can't Take It With You as Essie Carmahiel earned her an award for the Tony Award in Best Featured Female Actress in the Play. Annaleigh is a collaborator on projects with award-winning director as well as actors and producers for most of her professional career. Ashford can be seen next as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani, on Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Ashford is currently in the making of Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson. It will also be available as an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford is set to return in 2023, and will play opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), exactly the same group that produced Hamilton is directing the show. Ashford's most recent role was as Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on the National scandal that featured Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. Ashford was a part of two seasons on the CBS hit comedy B Positive. The show was developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the legendary Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen.
